By sponsoring a project, you can increase your impact and provide clean water for an entire community, school or health clinic. You will also be intimately connected to the miracles your generosity creates through pictures and video. 100% of your donation will fund clean water for those who need it most.
When you sponsor a water project, you’ll restore health, give back time, increase school attendance, create opportunity, inspire hope and confidence, empower leaders, and re-shape futures for about 2,000 people. The cost of a water project starts at $3,000 and goes up to $5,000 depending on type and location. You will be connected to your project and the miracles your generosity creates through pictures and video.
You make a donation of $3,000 or more. Water projects range from $3,000 – $5,000. Specific questions about projects and donations may be directed to michaela.s@familyhumanitarian.org.
We will begin working with a community, school, or health clinic in need of clean water to create a maintenance committee. This committee will be responsible for coming up with a plan to raise maintenance funds from the community and will be thoroughly trained in maintenance and repair. Additionally, the entire community will receive education regarding health and sanitation. These steps, along with inspections, ensure that the borehole will remain operational for generations to come.
With community education finished and the maintenance committee and funds in place, construction can begin. When the water project is complete, a plaque bearing your name will be installed and you will receive GPS coordinates of your water project along with pictures and video of the entire process. Typical time to completion is currently 3-6 months from the time of the donation. You may also subsequently receive further inspection pictures and updates.
