Raised in San Antonio, Texas, in a family of eight children, Sarah attended Brigham Young University, where she graduated in Elementary Education. Following graduation, she moved to Washington, DC and began working for Marriott International, an international hotel company. She has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 15 years in various capacities. Some of her favorite responsibilities include event planning for large corporate conferences and events, coordinating Marriott’s involvement in industry tradeshows for sports leagues (NFL, NHL, MLB, etc.), working with individuals from Marriott hotels and regional offices worldwide, managing internal communications activities and working in a graphic design capacity. Sarah’s current role is an instructional designer developing online e-learning courses for the Global Learning Department.
Sarah has served in the Relief Society presidency, the Stake Primary presidency and as an instructor at the Washington, DC Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loves to travel, particularly to international destinations, having caught the travel bug when she began working at Marriott. She enjoys reading, photography, working on projects, creating things, trying out new restaurants, cooking and soaking up time with familiy. She is married to Tyler DeLange. Since meeting Tyler, Sarah’s horizons have expanded into experiencing more outdoor adventures and humanitarian efforts. She’s excited about the lifetime of adventure that is ahead.
