Registration  Instructions

01Reg

1. Submit registration and $300 deposit

Submission of the registration form and payment of the deposit will reserve your spot on the expedition. While we strive to accommodate all who would like to participate, space on each expedition is limited. The earlier you register, the greater likelihood that spots will be available. We also encourage early registration to allow us to assign you to a humanitarian team prior to the expedition. This will allow you to prepare beforehand in order to maximize your experience while there.

If you receive a message that all of the spaces are full, please follow the instructions given to add your name(s) to the wait-list. Plans do change and spots frequently become available.

Deposit is refundable (less processing fees if applicable) upon cancellation through April 1, 2017.

2. Complete and submit additional forms

In addition to the online registration form, each participant will need to submit an expedition waiver, a medical information sheet, and a hard copy of their passport. The required forms can be accessed by the respective links below. Please print, complete, and submit these forms via email to fhedocuments@gmail.com or mail to: PO Box 1521  Rowlett, TX  75030.

All forms must be submitted no later than 60 days prior to departure.

03Reg

3. Await further communication regarding participation

Individuals who have expressed an interest in the business development and the teacher development workshops or the dental & medical clinics will be contacted prior to the expedition with an invitation to join conference calls prior to the expedition. For general information on workshops, clinics and programs, visit the Programs page.

Each participant will also receive a manual and travel packet full of invaluable information covering all aspects of the expedition.

4. Make payment in full

Payment of the full expedition fee is appreciated as soon as possible but is due no later than 60 days prior to departure.

5. Provide evacuation insurance and travel itinerary

Each participant will be required to obtain and provide proof of medical evacuation insurance covering at least $25,000. More information and suggested providers may be obtained here. You may submit proof of this insurance via email to fhedocuments@gmail.com or mail to PO Box 1521  Rowlett, TX  75030.

Each participant will also be required to submit a full travel itinerary so we can assure that appropriate transportation from the airport to the hotel is provided. You may submit this information using the same email or mailing address.

6. Donate to Ongoing Programs

While completely voluntary, we encourage each family who participates in an expedition to make an additional donation to FHe. While your expedition fee covers your personal expenses and project costs during the week, it does not help to cover the costs of ongoing programs such as funding teachers for the schools we build. The ongoing programs are what allow us to provide these life-changing experiences to families and ensure that the work you do while in-country continues to change lives long after you are gone. For those who have corporate matching programs available to them at work, we encourage you to use these programs to multiply the effect of your generous contributions.

Authorization  for  Minors  to  Travel

Please note that if you are under 18 and traveling with a guardian or only one parent, you must carry a special immigration form when you travel. The form must be completed and signed by parent(s)/guardian(s) and notarized.
