Each expedition includes at least one village-driven building/construction project in which everyone is welcome to participate. This hospital in Guatemala was a collaboration between CHOICE Humanitarian, Singular Humanitarian experience, Family Humanitarian experience and others.
Individuals with specialized construction skills as well as non-skilled workers are needed to assist with construction tasks.
The project is generally a school, a clinic or a water system, and is directed by local masons and foremen using local materials. Expeditioners work alongside the local villagers to help build what has often been a long-time community dream.
Considerable effort goes into planning the projects in the villages before our arrival and after our departure.
Supplementing the funds raised by the villagers themselves, approximately half of your expedition fees will go towards building supplies for the project, which would otherwise be almost impossible for the village to afford on their own.
Your donation assures the completion of a project that will change lives and fulfill a community’s dream. You will have the satisfaction of seeing the physical results of your donation when you work on the building project during an expedition.
