LDS Humanitarian Services
LDS Humanitarian Services is run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and aims to provide relief to suffering throughout the world through emergency relief assistance as well as in sustainable community development.
Escuela San Mateo
A non-profit organization dedicated primarily to furthering education in the Polochic Region. They are principally responsible for the construction of the Seamay Primary School, and are currently developing a new technical school in the Senahu Region. Escuela San Mateo also assists in other areas of need, as often as they are able.
CHOICE Humanitarian is a pioneer in humanitarian efforts and has been operating for since the early 1980s. An accredited 501(c)(3) organization, they seek to empower the individuals and villages with whom they work through village-driven, self-sustaining development. FHe’s ideologies are similar to those of CHOICE and they both operate under similar models of sustainable humanitarian efforts.
Singular Humanitarian experience (SHe)
Singular Humanitarian experience (SHe), also with 501(c)3 status and co-founded by one of the leaders of FHe, is our sister organization for LDS single professionals and their friends in their 20’s and 30’s. Family Humanitarian experience espouses the same humanitarian principles and ideals as SHe and will continue to work together with SHe on numerous trainings and programs.
FHe volunteers are primarily, but not exclusively, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS Church).
