Known as “God’s resting place,” Kenya is home of the Maasai Mara. FHe expeditioners will travel to West Kenya and work in villages near Kisii.
Each expedition includes at least one village-driven building project in which everyone is welcome to participate. The project is generally a school, clinic, or water system, and is directed by local masons and foremen using local materials. Other areas of focus include training programs centered around business development, education, and healthcare. We strive to adapt each training to the individual needs of each community.
FHe participants will work side-by-side with villagers throughout the day enjoying cultural events in the process. A combination of hotel/guest house and primitive camp-like accommodations can be anticipated. At times there will be running water, electricity, showers, and common eating areas, and at other times there may be only bucket showers and very primitive outhouses.
*Please note that we must have an minimum of 20 – 25 participants for this expedition to proceed. Please refrain from purchasing airfare (or purchase travel insurance) until this expedition is confirmed.
